Some Notes on Choir

We practiced every song tonight except for the ones in Handel’s “Messiah”. We didn’t complain. Our director, though, said around the end, “I’m sorry we didn’t get a chance to practice “The Messiah” tonight. We all moaned, “Awwwwwwww” in unison. After a moment, T looked up with a weird grin on his face and said, “I’m hoping at least some of that was not sarcasm. At least 10 percent!”

He also joked with us earlier and said, “Be grateful for everyone who’s in your life….Some when they arrive, others when they leave.”

Oh and he also said that he’s going to make one part of a song a solo, and that people can try out for it in a few weeks. I’m so glad he announced this, because it’s a song I know and love, and it’s a small part. I’m going for it.

  1. Manuel: Thank you! Someone sang the song as a solo back in 2002, so I was listening to that version last night.

Laura B: The tryouts will be held on April 4th. Ack, the suspense! Thank you, I love the assembly of forces for positive thinking! The League of Extraordinary Blogging Friends!
