On this day back in 1953 in Arbrå, Gävleborgs län, Sweden, Peter Stormare was born. According to IMDB, he started his career at the Royal National Theatre of Sweden where he performed there for eleven years. He has also directed plays at the Tokyo Globe Theatre. To read more about him, click here.
I love this guy. He’s been in so many good movies and also played a hilarious character named Slippery Pete in one episode of “Seinfeld”. George hires him and another thug to transfer his Frogger machine from the pizzaria that was closing to his apartment. They insisted on stealing something, so they stole the battery that would keep the machine charged for the transfer, then used up all the juice by playing Frogger on the street. His character didn’t know what electrical outlets were called, and referred to them as “the holes”.
He was in two of my favorite movies; “Fargo” and “Constantine”. He played an eccentric hitman in “Fargo” and was Lucifer/Satan in “Constantine”. Here are movie clips from both movies. There is a bit of swearing, so you’ve been warned. But it’s all well worth it.

A few quotes from “Constantine”:
John Constantine: How’s the family?
Satan: Family’s doing just fine. Busy, busy, busy, busy. Need a vacation.
Gabriel: Son of perdition. Little horn! Most unclean!
Satan: [giggling] I do miss the old names.
Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday Dear Peter Stormare, Happy Birthday to Youuuuuuuu!!
